|During the checkout process,
an account is established for each new customer. When a first time
visitor makes a purchase on your site, they will be prompted for their email
address, and for a unique password. When your customer returns to your
storefront in the future, to place another order or to check order status,
they can simply login with their password.
The customer's email address also serves as their login username.
The customer's password must be at least 5 characters in length. The password is used to login to the storefront. The password is encrypted in the PDshopPro database, do not edit the password using your own software as this may corrupt the password. Only use PDAdmin or PDshopPro to add or change passwords.
The billing address is saved in the database in the customer's account record. The billing address appears (as it appears in their account) will also be shown in their Order Summary.
You can search for existing customers by their name, email address, phone number, or zip code. You can add or edit customers in PDAdmin, see "Customers" heading. You can delete customers, however there cannot be any orders in the database for the customer. To delete a customer, first delete each order.
